CLEVELAND BLACK EQUITY
AND HUMANITY FUND LAUNCHED
While the executive committee didn’t have a name
for it, a long-term goal was centered around creating
a commitment to invest in and support the social
and economic needs of the Black community. This
would provide sustainability and impact that would
bring together time, talent and treasure to benefit
the Black community in Northeast Ohio. The result of
that vision was the creation of the Cleveland Black
Equity and Humanity Fund.
The Fund was launched at the Opening Gala of TSOP-
CLE. A generous contribution of $100,000 from the
Char and Chuck Fowler Family Foundation helped
lay the groundwork for the Cleveland Black Equity and
Humanity Fund.
